The game

You are the director. Every music video comes together in four steps, with simple tools at first and more and more options as the campaign goes on.

  1. Build your set

    89 props, furniture, vehicles and spotlights to place, rotate and line up. They snap onto the floor, a table or a stage by themselves.

  2. Direct your scene

    Custom artists and extras, animations synced to the tempo of the track: rapping on the mic, dances, poses, gestures.

  3. Shoot and edit

    Several cameras, tracking and orbit shots, lights on the beat, smoke, confetti, sparks. Failed takes end up in the blooper reel.

  4. Walk away with your video

    A real MP4 video in 16:9 or 9:16, from 720p to 4K depending on your PC, checked after export. Ready to share.

Four ways to play

Campaign

20 levels in 5 chapters, from the bedroom to the big festival music video. Each level teaches a tool, offers 3 briefs and accepts several ways to succeed.

Free mode

All the sets, props and tracks, the weather, the time of day, smoke, colored lights. 16:9 or 9:16 format, or your own track.

Quick challenges

6 new challenges every day, in 3 difficulty levels: express lighting, cuts on the beat, one-minute set, camera move, crew, one single take.

My videos

All your projects with their thumbnails, several versions of the same video and a side-by-side comparison of their scores, criterion by criterion.

The campaign

Every music video is scored on measurable criteria: following the brief, artist visibility, light on the face, framing, sync with the music, smooth movement. The results show your score for each criterion and a concrete tip. Stars unlock outfits, props, effects, animations and sets.

Boom bap, trap, drill, afro, lo-fi, jazz rap, rage, cloud… Every beat is made for the game, with its tempo, its downbeats and its sections (verse, chorus) so you can time your cuts and your lights.

You can also import your own track in Free mode: the game estimates its tempo.

On Discord

The Rap France server is where music videos get shared, challenge scores get compared and new versions get announced. The community speaks French, and English speakers are welcome.

“Playing Rap France” on your profile

With Discord open on your PC, your friends see what you are shooting: the level, the set, your result. Can be turned off in the game settings.

Share your videos

When exporting, tick “Under 10 MB (for Discord)”, then post your video with /partager in the music video channel.

FAQ

Is the game in English?

Yes. The game is available in English and French: it starts in your system's language, and you can switch at any time from the home screen or in Settings › Language.

Do I need an Internet connection to play?

No. The game works offline and sends nothing over the Internet. The Discord status only goes through the Discord app on your PC.

Installer or portable version?

The installer creates the “Rap France Clips” shortcut and doesn't ask for admin rights. The portable version can be extracted anywhere you like: run RapFranceClips.exe.

Is the game available on Mac or mobile?

Not for now: only the Windows version is released. Announcements are made on the Discord server.

Where are my videos and projects?

Exported videos go to Videos\Rap France, projects to %APPDATA%\Rap France Clips. They stay on your PC.

Can I use my own music?

Yes, in Free mode. The file stays on your PC; make sure you have the rights to the track before posting your video.

The game is slow on my PC, what can I do?

In Settings › Graphics, pick a lower quality or run the performance test, which recommends the right quality. The export itself is computed frame by frame: the video stays smooth even if the preview slows down.

Can I play fullscreen?

Yes: press F11 or Alt+Enter, or turn on Fullscreen in Settings › Graphics. The game remembers your choice.
