FAQ

Is the game in English?

Yes. The game is available in English and French: it starts in your system's language, and you can switch at any time from the home screen or in Settings › Language.

Do I need an Internet connection to play?

No. The game works offline, except for Multiplayer mode, which you start yourself. The Discord status only goes through the Discord app on your PC. The details: Privacy.

Can I play with friends?

Yes, with the “Multiplayer” button, 2 to 4 players: on the set, each of you plays the cards in your own hand, then you play the take together. Create a private game and give its code to your friends, or join a public game. No account and no free chat: a random nickname, ready-made reactions and phrases.

Can I play with a controller?

Yes: Xbox, PlayStation or Steam Deck, in every menu and during the take (X, Y, B and LB for the cameras, A for the DROP, RB for the move). The keyboard works too: 1 to 4, Space and F.

I don't like rhythm games, can I still play?

Yes. Pick the Chill difficulty, or “Auto take”: the video films itself and you enjoy the premiere.

Are there any purchases in the game?

No. The game is free and nothing can be bought with money: packs are earned by playing, and the odds of every card are shown.

Installer or portable version?

The installer creates the “Rap France” shortcut and doesn't ask for admin rights. The portable version can be extracted anywhere you like: run RapFrance.exe.

Is the game available on Mac or mobile?

Not for now: only the Windows version is released. Announcements are made on the Discord server.

Where are my videos and projects?

Exported videos go to Videos\Rap France, projects to %APPDATA%\Rap France Clips. They stay on your PC.

Can I use my own music?

Yes, in Free studio. The file stays on your PC; make sure you have the rights to the track before posting your video.

The game is slow on my PC, what can I do?

In Settings › Graphics, pick a lower quality or run the performance test, which recommends the right quality. The export itself is computed frame by frame: the video stays smooth even if the preview slows down.

Can I play fullscreen?

Yes: press F11 or Alt+Enter, or turn on Fullscreen in Settings › Graphics. The game remembers your choice.
